[6:10am 1.7.25] This blog is going to be brief because I want it to be. It's 2025 now, so I'm super close to graduation. More importantly though, Nvidia just had an amazing keynote at CES where they showed off 50 series cards. It's just unfathomable what they've done since they say they put the performance of the 4090 into the 5070 for just under $600. Absurd. A friend of mine recently put me onto Sublime too, which has been great. I initially wrote them off because I saw their shirts frequently, but these chaps are playing some nice ska.
I guess I'm still not sure exactly what I want to make of this site. I've taken inspiration from other small personal sites, but this is MY corner of the internet. What can I do to Logan City to make it say "This is Logan's place"?
[9:00am 12.23.24] It's winter break so I finally have lots of time to write something for Logan City here. Fishtank season three wrapped up a few weeks ago and ended with Burt winning and being left in the Nevada desert with his big check. The other finalists, Payton and Binx were both eliminated because Payton ate the elimination chocolate and Binx had an elimination thought. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until next year to catch season four.
[6:15am 11.5.24] I signed up to the BlueSky waitlist a coupe of years ago when people were considering alternatives to Twitter after Elon Musk bought the platform, so I was the first of my friendgroup to make an account there. Lately now, Elon announced a new feature where people you block can still see your posts so people are getting more serious about changing platforms. However, I feel like a first-class BlueSky citizen because of my name. On BlueSky, the vast majority of people use the handle "name.bsky.social". But if you're like me and you already own your own domain, your name can be "logancity.net". This carries an immense amount of swag with it and I wanted to brag about it in my little blog here.
On a more real note, it's day five of No Nut November and I am thriving. I think this will be an easy sweep here.
[7:30pm 10.31.24] Hey, gang. I removed the last few blogs because they were cringe, but real fans can still find them in the edit history on my GitHub repository for this site.
I want to write a little bit about the latest season of Fishtank though. We're five days into season three and it's looking super interesting. Production tried to make sure that the contestants hadn't heard of Fishtank before, which was a great idea. Learning that everyone in season two was a Sam Hyde/Fishtank fan was kind of cool, but also soured the sincerity of the show in my opinion. Another bold change was the choice to cast more "normies" instead of internet losers. Production has also been keeping antics very tame and blocking viewer TTS messages through at least the first week or two it seems. I'm positive that most of these guys aren't ready for hellhouse or Frank Hassle. One of my favorite bits is that the contestants don't know they're live. They were told that they're on a show called Famous House that's streaming on Hulu. This season is definately a slow burn, but the elaborate bits that production is pulling have crazy potential. Stream it up. fishtank.live.
